General Terms & Conditions

It is your responsibility to ensure that All members of your party accept the terms of this contract as set our below:

Deposits:

To confirm the reservation for your holiday a deposit of 25% of the total cost must be paid within 7 days of the booking. This deposit is non-refundable. The balance must be paid 8 weeks before the date of arrival. We will send and invoice to remind you it is due.

A €200 refundable security deposit will be required on arrival. This will be returned, normally, on departure or within 7 days of the departure date, less any fees for extra cleaning or severe breakages. We do not charge for minor breakages but do ask that you let us know if something is damaged in order we can replace. In the event of a major breakage , such as a window of piece of furniture we will expect the hirer to cover the cost of replacement.

Insurance:

Please insure you have adequate holiday insurance to cover cancellation, accidents, health care and repatriation, and accidental damage. We cannot be held responsible for any accidents, break ins or theft within the property during your stay.

Cancellation charges:

In the event of cancellation by yourself:

More than 8 weeks prior to the arrival date - No charge

4- 8 weeks prior to the arrival date - 50 % of total rental

2-4 weeks prior to the arrival date - 75% of the total rental

Less that 2 weeks prior to the arrival date - 100% of the total rental.

In the unlikely event of anything occurring outside of our control, causing the property to be unavailable a full refund or all monies will be paid, although we will make every effort to arrange alternative accommodation for the same or similar dates.

Limit of Liability:

We cannot accept liability for any injury, loss or damage, consequential or otherwise, suffered by you or any other member of your party, unless there was wilful default by us or our employees, or unless personal injury or death was caused by our negligence.

Access & Departure:

The gite will be available to you from 4pm on the first date of rental. Departure to be no later that 10am on the last day of rental to enable cleaning for following guests

The client agrees to leave the property as you found it, in a clean and tidy condition. Our cleaner is contracted for two hours per gite. An additional charge will apply for any additional time required

Keys:

In the event of loss or damage to the keys/locks there will be a €50 charge for replacement

Maximum size of Party:

The maximum number of guests must not exceed five people for Sunrise and five people for Sunset or be any other than those named on the booking form. If this legal requirement is not met, your booking will be terminated and you will be asked to leave. No refund will be given

Smoking:

Smoking is forbidden inside the house, and on the pool area. You may smoke anywhere in the grounds and outside seating areas providing all cigarette buts are removed and disposed of.

Pets:

Pets will only be accepted by prior arrangement. We do not accept dangerous or aggressive dogs. You must be incontrol of your pets at all times and regularly collect faeces. Please do not leave them alone in the cottage without prior agreement with the owners.

Problems:

Any defects in the property or equipment must be reported to the owners as soon as possible. We want you to enjoy your holiday and will endeavour to correct any problems as soon as possible. The owners undertake, as far as reasonably possible, to ensure that the property and its contents ad in safe working order and fit for purpose.

Waste Disposal & recycling:

Following recent events, regrettably we now have to impose a charge if waste disposal and recycling procedures are not followed as per the local authority requirements. Full instructions are in each gite. All waste must be in the appropriate bags - black for general household waste; yellow for recycling. All glass to be taken to the local recycling banks in the village, by yourselves

Swimming pool Disclaimer:

You, as the person booking the property must understand the potential dangers that swimming pools present to infants, children, teenagers and adults, and fully understand and agree to abide by ALL of the swimming pool safety rules below:

  • Ensure the gate to the pool area is locked at all times there are young children on site​

  • No glass on the pool terrace. Plastic glasses are provided in the gite

  • No hard shoes on the decking or in the pool

  • No animals on the deck or in the pool

  • No diving or bombing

  • No sharp objects on the decking or in the pool. A punctured liner will spoil your holiday and is expensive to replace

You are required to take full responsibility for the safety of all members of your party and completely free the property owners of and liability, loss, damage or expense, including without limitation, legal fees and cost of litigation, resulting from any swimming pool accident or incidents occurring at the property. The pool is protected by a gate that complies with, or exceeds current regulations, but you must ensure that the gate is kept closed at all times

Additional Facilities:

Additional facilities, such as internet access, the pool, pool table and table tennis table are provided subject to availability and may become unavailable at any time, although we will always do our utmost to supply unbroken service. The availability of these services does not provide part of the contract to provide accommodation

Failure to disclose all relevant information or comply with these terms may lead to termination of the contract and loss of booking.

Long Term Rental Conditions:

Further to the above the following conditions apply:

Deposits and rental:

To confirm the reservation for your long let, the booking form must be returned with a deposit of

25% of the first month’s rent within 7 days of the verbal/email booking. This deposit is non-

refundable. The balance needs to be paid 8 weeks before the start of your rental period. We will

send you an invoice to remind you that it is due. The second month’s rent will be payable on arrival

and so on.

  • Arrivals & Departures
    The cottage will be available to you from 4pm on the first date of rental. Departure to be no later that 10am on the last day of rental to enable cleaning for following guests. Contact us to discuss the possibility of an earlier check-in or later check-out, and we’ll do our best to arrange it for you if possible.
  • Are you pet friendly
    Pets will only be accepted by prior arrangement. We do not accept dangerous or aggressive dogs. You must be in control of your pets at all times and regularly collect faeces. Pets are not allowed in the pool or pool decking area. Please do not leave them alone in the cottage without prior agreement with the owners.
  • Do I have sole use of the whole building I book one of the cottages?
    Great question! Champ Giraud is set in a beautifully converted French barn, which has been meticulously transformed into three separate cottages for an idyllic retreat experience. At each end of the building, you'll find the charming cottages Sunrise and Sunset, with our own residence nestled comfortably in between. Both Sunrise and Sunset cottages feature their own private dining areas, perfect for a cosy meal in a peaceful setting. Additionally, guests can enjoy the shared patio at the front of the building, which offers ample seating. To ensure privacy, this space is thoughtfully sectioned off by an array of plants and bushes. We pride ourselves on providing a serene and private environment for all our guests, making Champ Giraud the perfect getaway!
  • Do you have WiFi?
    Yes. We have high speed fibre broadband in both cottages
  • Is smoking allowed at My Site 3?
    Yes, smoking is allowed in the outdoor areas at Champ Giraud, but we ask you are mindful of other guests. However, we have a strict no-smoking policy inside the cottages and at the poolside to ensure the comfort and safety of all our guests. We kindly ask that you use the bins provided for the disposal of cigarette ends to keep our premises clean and pleasant for everyone. Thank you for your cooperation.
  • Do you have car charging facilities
    Not on site, but there are charging facilities in one of the village car parks
  • Do you provide pool towels
    No. We provide towels for the cottages, but we ask that you do not use these at the pool. Please bring your own.
  • What if I need to amend my booking
    Please see our T&C's for full details. We ask you contact us as soon as possible
  • I don't see the answer to my query here. What should I do?
    Check our T&C's for full details. Questions can usually be answered there. Also contact us and we will try our best to answer your query
